1962
Gottlieb "Rack a Ball" Fun animated (pool balls line up in the
head) billiards themed pinball machine. Fully restored to it's 1962
glory this beautiful (restoration completed mid April 2011) Rack a
Ball plays and looks like new. Such a great machine Gottlieb remade
it in 1964 as "Bowling Queen" and again in 1969 as "Mibs".
This Rack a Ball is as good as it gets in vintage pinball
flawless reproduction art glass, mint condition original playfield
and beautifully restored cabinet with all new chrome and hardware.
Just the way you would do it if you had the time, parts, ability and
a near perfect 1962 Rack a Ball to start with. Over 100 hours of
skilled labor over $1,000 in new parts went into the mechanical and
cosmetic restoration. Great game play as the more pool balls you
make the harder the scoring gets and the more difficult it is to get
the last few billiard balls into the rack.
During 1962 Billiard Hall of Fame member Luther Lassiter won the
first of his five all around championships! Every chance that Luther
and his fellow competitor Minnesota Fats might have played a few
games on a Rack a Ball back in 1962 as they were fixtures in Pool
Halls across America.
Great features found on Rack a Ball:
- Animated backglass red and white balls fill the pool rack
- 12 rollovers rack a ball one time only per game
- 3 targets light bumpers and slingshots make all three for
Specials
- Pop relays for high scores, balls racked, Specials and end
of game match
